* John A. Thain: On Feb. 8th 2010 John Thain was appointed CEO and Chairman of CIT Group. Mr. Thain resigned from the Board of Efficient Finance.
Yossi Dauber is a co-founder and was the first CEO and Chairman of Efficient Finance. Dauber served as the Co-General Manager of Bank Hapoalim (the largest Bank in Israel with $60 Billion in assets). Dauber held a number of senior executive positions in the bank including heading the commercial division, heading the corporate division, chairman of Isracard (the biggest Israeli credit card company) and more. Dauber holds degrees in economics and business management.
Alexander C. "Sandy" Kemper was elected as Vice Chairman of Efficient Finance in 2007. Kemper is also the Chairman of the Board of The Collectors Fund, a private equity fund focused on alternative asset classes. Prior to founding The Collectors Fund, Kemper founded Perfect Commerce (fka eScout.com) and served as the company’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer from 2000-2006. Under Kemper’s leadership Perfect Commerce created the Open Supplier Network™ (OSN™) and became the largest and fastest growing provider of on-demand supplier relationship management (SRM) technology in the United States. Prior to founding Perfect Commerce, Kemper served as Chairman of the Board and CEO of UMB Bank and CEO of UMB Financial, a NASDAQ traded financial services company with assets of more than eight billion dollars. Kemper began his career with UMB upon graduating in 1987 from Northwestern University where he majored in American History. Kemper is an active angel and venture investor and currently serves on the corporate boards of UMB Financial (NASDAQ: UMBF), UMB Bank, SipVine, and SCD Probiotics.
Kemper and his family are active in academic, civic and philanthropic endeavors and Kemper serves on the board of the Agriculture Future of America (AFA), a non-profit scholarship and leadership development organization which he co-founded. Kemper and his family live on a farm in Kansas City, Missouri, where they raise and care for their horses, sheep and any and all wild animals (not including their 4 children).
Shay Zafrir was elected Efficient Finance CEO in December 2006. Zafrir had been VP of Sales since 2003. Prior to joining EF he was a corporate SVP in Bank Hapoalim (The biggest bank in Israel) reporting directly to the bank's Co-General Manager. Zafrir was a member of the Institute for Strategic Thought and Praxis that developed strategic planning methodologies that where implemented in the Israeli Military's top command. Earlier in his career, as a young software architect, Zafrir headed the group of IT professionals that established the Israeli Army's PC Computer Based Training (CBT) center that today trains all the ground forces. Zafrir graduated law and B.A. in economics with honors and received an MBA from the Tel-Aviv University.
Moshe Hadar brings extensive experience in business management, finance and operations. Hadar held executive management positions as Vice President & CFO of Flextronics (Israel), a world leader in Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS) and publicly traded on NASDAQ and previously, as Vice President & CFO of USR Group. Prior to that Hadar was CPA with Deloitte & Touche and PriceWaterhouseCoopers. Hadar holds a bachelor degree in economics and accounting from Haifa University and a Masters degree in Law from the University of Bar Ilan.
Dr. Marty Tenenbaum is a world-renowned Internet commerce pioneer and visionary. He was founder and CEO of Enterprise Integration Technologies, the first company to conduct a commercial Internet transaction (1992), secure Web transaction (1993) and Internet auction (1993). In 1994, he founded CommerceNet to accelerate business use of the Internet. In 1997, he co-founded Veo Systems, the company that pioneered the use of XML for automating business-to-business transactions. Dr. Tenenbaum joined Commerce One in January 1999, when it acquired Veo Systems. As Chief Scientist, he was instrumental in shaping the company's business and technology strategies for the Global Trading Web. He then served as director and Chief Scientist of Webify Solutions from 2002 until 2006 when the company was acquired by IBM. Earlier in his career, Dr. Tenenbaum was a prominent AI researcher, and led AI research groups at SRI International and Schlumberger Ltd. Dr. Tenenbaum is a Fellow and former board member of the American Association for Artificial Intelligence, and a former Consulting Professor of Computer Science at Stanford. He currently serves as director of two healthcare IT startups, Medstory Inc. and PatientsLikeMe, and is a Consulting Professor of Information Technology at Carnegie Mellon's new West Coast campus. Dr. Tenenbaum holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering from MIT, and a Ph.D. from Stanford.
Meir Lavy is a co-founder and designed the core EF IT system. Lavi is an army veteran with more than 25 years experience in IT management. Lavi was the head of the Software Infrastructure unit of the Israeli Intelligence where he commanded hundreds of IT programmers and multi-million dollar budgets. Lavi’s banking experience includes managing one of the biggest IT projects ever in the financial sector in Israel - Bank Discount ERP Project. Lavi brings to EF the highest level of professional expertise in strategic IT development and security. Lavi graduated with degrees in Electrical Engineering, with excellence, and Business (MBA) from Tel-Aviv University.
